I was born on 15.06.1969 in İzmir. I attended primary and secondary school in various schools in Bornova. I graduated from İzmir Girls High School. I entered Ege University Faculty of Medicine as the 66th in Turkey in the university exam and graduated in 1991.
I did my compulsory service in Uğurlu village of Akçakoca district, which was then in Bolu province and now in Düzce province. Between 1992-1997, I received my gynecology and obstetrics specialty training at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
